Scientific Student Association

Talented students who are open to scientific work can join the work of research groups. They have the opportunity to present their work at the TDK Conference organized by the University, and the most successful papers can also be entered into the national conference (OTDK). A large number of high-quality papers are prepared at our department every year.

Insight into the academic career through education and research

At our department, we consider it important to involve students in the daily life of the department, in thematic areas and in educational tasks. Members of the HDS Talent Development Circle can delve into professional activities and try their hand at education every semester through alumni lectures, factory visits and demonstration opportunities.

Everyday fluid mechanics for elementary and high school students

On the last Friday of September, our lab will be flooded with elementary and high school students and their families for one night, who will be able to learn about the topics researched at the Department through everyday examples. Whether it’s baking cookies, measuring blood pressure, or the world of solar-powered boats.

Girls’ Day

Every year in April, we also let high school girls go “behind the scenes”. We join the faculty event and organize a presentation or lab visit on a variety of topics. We hope that as many people as possible will be inspired to choose a scientific or technical career.
