To provide basic understanding about the operation of the human cardiovascular system in order to perform blood pressure and blood flow modelling tasks. Blood flow in the arteries can be modelled based on Newtonian mechanics, fluid mechanics and material science. Numerical modelling of blood flow and the blood pressure measurement devices to improve diagnostic accuracy and to guide proper therapy. The aim of the subject is to lay down the foundations of human cardiovascular modelling techniques.
